JOMBOA Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JOMBOA ("JOMBOA", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the JOMBOA mobile application and related services (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account and use the App:
Account information: email address and display name
Optional profile information: full name
Community content you create: teams, rosters, match results, announcements, event details, and other information you enter while using the App
We also collect limited technical data automatically:
Device information: device model, operating system, and version
Network information: IP address, time zone, and language settings
We do not collect location data, camera images, or photos. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools.
2. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information based on:
Your consent, provided when you create an account and use the App
Performance of our agreement with you under our Terms of Service
Our legitimate interest in operating, improving, and securing the App
You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us at support@jomboa.com.
3. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account
Provide App functionality including communities, leagues, announcements, events, and standings
Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
Fix bugs and improve App performance

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only in limited circumstances:
Service providers: We use Supabase for backend infrastructure including database hosting, authentication, and data storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf under contractual obligations and may not use it for their own purposes. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (US East, Ohio).
Within your community: content you post is visible to members of your community according to its settings and permissions
Legal compliance and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public
Business transfers: if JOMBOA is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information unless we are required to retain certain records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time:

We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing deletion. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
JOMBOA is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 12, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 12 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@jomboa.com.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

10. International Data Transfers
JOMBOA is operated from the United States. Your information is stored and processed on servers located in the United States (US East, Ohio) via Supabase. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the App or by email.
